Abstract

The mango plant is one of the main fruit producing plants in Darmawangi Village. We have encountered various preparations from this fruit throughout the country ranging from jam, candy, syrup, salad and others, but currently the use of this garden only focuses on the fruit, even though there are many other parts of this fruit that can be used, one of which is the leaves. The leaves of this fruit can be used to make environmentally friendly herbal tea. During this time, the mango leaves fall and become waste that is less useful and worth selling. To change this view, the PKM team held workshops and training activities. This activity was carried out directly in Darmawangi Village, Tomo District, Sumedang Regency. A workshop is a process of delivering material that aims to motivate and encourage activity participants to grow their desire for entrepreneurship (Irmayanti et al., 2020). The activities of this workshop include presentation of materials by resource persons and the PKM team and video screening of making mango leaf herbal tea by the PKM team. The first activity stage began with a presentation on the benefits of mango plants, the use of mango leaves for business products, market opportunities and examples of business products for mango leaf herbal tea. Other material that was also presented in this activity was the potential of mango plants, especially manga leaves. Socialization activities and presentation of material from the PKM Team. This activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge, information and insight of the activity participants so that they would be interested in utilizing the abundant mango leaves to then make herbal products with marketable value in order to increase income and reduce unemployment rates. Indayani and Hartono 2020, the activity stage continued with a video tutorial on making mango leaf herbal tea by the PKM team. The PKM team explains the tools and materials used in making the product. To make mango leaf herbal tea, start from selecting the type of leaves that can be used, the cleaning process by washing the selected leaves using clean running water, the process of cutting the leaves into smaller sizes to make the drying process easier and reducing the water content. The process of drying the leaves is carried out in the sun until the leaves dry and change color from fresh green to brownish, then the packaging process continues. At this activity stage, apart from directly practicing the activities, the PKM team has also prepared finished herbal tea products that have been packaged and ready to be marketed. Entrepreneurial activities are one solution that can be carried out to reduce the unemployment rate by providing work opportunities amidst the low number of existing job opportunities
