Abstract

Based on the reality obtained by the author from the field, (1). Some athletes are very active in pursuing the highest possible achievements and most athletes often seek sensation with actions that often invite controversy. (2). In the achievements of the Petanque Sumedang team, they experienced a setback in terms of mastering basic techniques, one of which was shooting skills. This study uses an experimental method with 39 samples studied with the instrument used for data collection is the shooting petanque test. Based on data processing that the application of the reinforcement pattern contributed significantly (significantly) to the shooting results in the petanque game for the Sumedang petanque athlete. The magnitude of the contribution is shown by the increase in psychomotor ability (shooting) of the sample after being treated in the form of a strengthening pattern of 2.95. While significant results were obtained from the results of the significance test at a significant level of 0.05 with 38 degrees of freedom, namely Tcount 8.9393 > T table 1.684
