THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE WITH ANTI- TUBERCULOSIS (OAT) TREATMENT AND MEDICATION ADHERENCE AMONG TUBERCULOSIS PATIENTS

Tuberculosis is still one of the 10th deadliest diseases in the world The biggest risk factor for this disease is a weakening of the body's immune system caused by several diseases such as HIV/AIDS and malnutrition. The aim of this research is to find out the picture and relationships knowledge and the level of compliance of Tuberculosis sufferers in treatment at the Margajaya Health Center, Tanjungsari District , Sumedang Regency in 202 3 . The research method used in this research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all Tuberculosis sufferers who were treated at the Margajaya Community Health Center from November 202 2 to May 202 3 . The sampling that will be used in this research is total sampling , namely samples taken from the entire population, which in this study are all Tuberculosis sufferers treated at the Margajaya Community Health Center who at the time of the research were still undergoing treatment with details of 35 people using univariate and bivariate data analysis techniques in SPSS application. The results of this research have a significance value of 0.0 03 , so there is a significant influence between Knowledge to Compliance of Tuberculosis patients in treatment at Margajaya Community Health Center . It is hoped that Tuberculosis sufferers can carry out treatment as fully as possible so that they do not experience treatment failure which results in the patient failing to recover or even getting worse due to bacterial factors becoming increasingly resistant to the medication being taken.
