AB  - <p>This research is motivated by the importance of meaning in an action spoken by the speaker to the interlocutor. This study aims to describe the illocutionary acts in the movie Buy Salt at Night on the Official Par TV Sumedang Youtube Channel. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subject of the research, namely Beli Garam Malam Hari. The object of research, namely illocutionary speech acts. The data collection method used is the listening method with the basic technique of tapping, the advanced technique of free listening, and the recording technique. The data analysis method used is the pragmatic pairing method with the technique of sorting the determining elements, and the advanced technique of the comparative linking technique to equalize. The results of this research are assertive illocutionary speech acts as much as 10 data (telling 6 speech data and stating 2 data) and directive illocutionary speech acts as much as 5 data (ordering 2 data, advising 2 data, and begging 1 data).</p>
