PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DIORAMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA MATERI SIKLUS AIR

This research is motivated by low motivation and learning outcomes in science, especially in the water cycle material. This is due to the lack of application of innovative learning media in the teaching and learning process. Based on these circumstances, researchers have a solution to overcome this problem by using diorama learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in motivation and student learning outcomes by using diorama learning media in the science subject on the water cycle. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted on fifth grade students at SDN Cisema, Darmaraja District, Sumedang Regency. This study uses the Gayatri and Wirakusuma models with four stages, namely planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation sheets and written tests.The results showed that the students' learning motivation increased in each cycle. Preliminary data obtained 68%, cycle I increased to 76%, and cycle II increased to 86%. Student learning outcomes have increased in each cycle. Preliminary data obtained 25%, cycle I increased to 50%, and cycle II increased to 75%. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the use of diorama learning media can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of science class V students at SDN Cisema, Darmaraja District, Sumedang Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year on the water cycle material.
