Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of low activity and learning science in single and mixed substances. Therefore, one alternative is to apply the Jigsaw learning model assisted by pop-up book media. This study aims to improve the activities and learning outcomes of science in single and mixed substance materials through the application of the Jigsaw learning model assisted by pop-up book media to grade V students of SDN Mekarjaya. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects in this study were 11 students in class V. Data collection techniques in this study used observations and tests. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained that the application of a jigsaw learning model assisted by pop-up book media can increase student activities and learning outcomes. In the initial data, learning activities reached 44.2%(Low), in cycle I it increased to 59% (Medium) and in cycle II it increased to 86% (High). Meanwhile, student learning outcomes, in the initial data on the number of completed students were 0%, in the first cycle the number of completed students increased to 64%, while in cycle II the number of completed students increased to 91%.
