PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN OPEN ENDED TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI SIFAT BANGUN RUANG

The problem in this research is the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts in the material of spatial properties. The solution is to apply an open ended learning model.This study aims to determine the effect of the open-ended model on understanding mathematical concepts in fourth grade students of SDN Pande, Ujungjaya District, Sumedang Regency. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type of research with a one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this research is saturated sampling. The sample in this study was grade IV students, totaling 20 people. Collecting data using a concept understanding test. Data analysis used statistical analysis.
The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students' understanding of mathematical concepts before the open-ended model was used was 53 in the low category and the average learning outcomes after the open-ended model was used was 86 in the high category. In addition, based on the results of the normality test which states that the data is normally distributed, the results of the hypothesis test obtained have a significance level of 0.05, besides that the results of the study are supported by the results of the t-test. , while the results of tcount = 8.82 and ttable = 1.729 so that it states that tcount > ttable, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of this study, it can be said that there is a significant effect of using an open model on understanding mathematical concepts in the material properties of grade IV SDN Pande, Ujungjaya District, Sumedang Regency for the 2021/2022 Academic Year
