PENGARUH MEDIA GAMES EDUCATION WORDWALL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI SIKLUS AIR

This research addresses the observed lack of conceptual understanding and learning activities regarding the water cycle among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri Ketib. The study aims to assess the impact of using the educational game media Wordwall on these aspects. A pre-experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest design was employed, involving 22 purposively sampled students from class V-A at SD Negeri Ketib in the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection included pretest and posttest scores, as well as learning activity indicators from two meetings, analyzed using statistical tests. Results showed a significant improvement in students' conceptual understanding, evidenced by the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test with a p-value of <.001. The average pretest score increased from 45 to 81.82 posttest, with an effect size of 1.00, indicating a large effect. Similarly, learning activities improved significantly, with the average percentage rising from 49.84% to 70.64% and a p-value of .009, also with a large effect size of 1.00. Thus, the use of Wordwall significantly enhances students' conceptual understanding and learning activities.
