Abstract

This research is motivated by the low science process skills of students because the learning process focuses more on the knowledge aspect. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model assisted by digital flipbook media on the science process skills of class V students of SDN Sindang IV, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a quantitative method of the pre-experimental design type with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study was 22 class V-A students with a probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The data collection technique for this study was a test technique given before and after treatment and a non-test technique for overestimating the implementation of the learning model. The research instruments were science process skills test sheets and observation sheets for the implementation of the learning model. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in the average pretest and posttest scores of science process skills as evidenced by the results of the t-test obtained a comparison of the Sig. values. (2-tailed) on the Paired Sample t-Test with a value of a (0.05) is 0.00 <0.05 and the effect size test value is 1.34 which indicates a high category. Furthermore, the implementation of the learning model obtained a percentage of 100% with a very practical category, meaning that all stages in the RADEC learning model have been implemented very well according to the planning so that they can create optimal learning conditions and achieve learning objectives. Thus, it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model assisted by digital flipbook media has an effect on students' science process skills in learning science on the human respiratory system material in class V SDN Sindang IV, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency, 2024/2025 Academic Year so that the RADEC learning model assisted by flipbook media can be an alternative to develop students' science process skills.
