Abstract

This research was motivated by the observations of researchers in grade IV SDN Karanganyar regarding scientific attitudes and low student learning outcomes due to the lack of student interest in learning science, so that student learning outcomes were low. Therefore, efforts are needed in overcoming this, one of which is by applying the demonstration method. The goal to be achieved in this study is to determine the effectiveness of using the demostration method on scientific attitudes and science learning outcomes. This research was in the form of PTK conducted at SDN Karanganyar with the research subjects being kels IV students totaling five people. Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. The instruments used are in the form of observation sheets of scientific attitudes and assessment of learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, in cycle I obtained an average value of 59 and in cycle II it increased to 80. The percentage of student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 40% of students were completed and in cycle II it became 80% of students were completed. Thus, the application of the demonstration method has good qualities used in the learning of science of energy change material.
