Abstract

The background of this research is the low interest and learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Tegalsari in social studies subjects. This study aims to increase student interest and learning outcomes through the application of scramble type cooperative learning model. This research method uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart consists of four stages, namely plan, act, observe, and reflect. The results of the implementation of the action by applying the scramble type cooperative model, the students' interest in learning in the first cycle was 66.26% in the sufficient category and in the second cycle the student's interest in learning increased by 83.92% in the good category. Then the increase in learning outcomes can be seen from the classical student learning completeness. In the first cycle there were 12 students or 73.07% who completed and in the second cycle there were 88.46% who completed and had achieved the set target. Based on this, the application of the scramble type cooperative learning model is proven to increase the interest and learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN Tegalsari.
