Abstract

Social Sciences (IPS) subjects are often perceived as less interesting, monotonous, and less varied subjects. This has an impact on the low learning achievement of students in social studies lessons. efforts that can be made by teachers in improving learning achievement. To overcome this problem, a learning model is needed that is able to create a pleasant atmosphere and make students active and can motivate students in learning. One of them is the Index Card Match model, the purpose of this study is to describe the results of social studies lessons using the Index Card Match model. The research model used is the pre-experimental Index Card Match model describing the results of Social Science (IPS) lessons. Experiments in this study were conducted on 26 students in grade IV, the instruments used in this study were pretest and posttest questions that had been evaluated. The results of the study were obtained where the two data (pretest and posttest) were distributed in the Index Card Match model, which was obtained = 49.398 and = 1.671, because > then rejected. Belarti's Index Card Match model has an effect on student achievement in Social Sciences (IPS) class IV.
