UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA MELALUI PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL

This research was motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of grade III students of SDN Parakanmuncang I in Indonesian learning. To improve these activities and learning outcomes, teachers must apply appropriate learning techniques. The effort that can be made is to apply a contextual approach in Indonesian learning. The formulation of the problem in this study is that the contextual approach can increase learning activities Indonesian grade III SDN Parakanmuncang I for the 2021/2022 academic year? Can a contextual approach improve learning outcomes Indonesian grade III students of SDN Parakanmuncang I for the 2021/2022 academic year? This study uses a class action research model characterized by the presence of cycles. In the initial condition, the results of observations on student learning activities were low with a score of 2.5 with sufficient student learning activity categories and the percentage of students who achieved the learning activity target was at least 4.5%. In the first cycle, student learning activities were successfully increased to 3.1 with the category of student learning activities sufficient and the percentage of students who achieved the target of learning activities was at least 22.7%. In cycle II, student learning activities increased with a score of 3.5 with the category of good student learning activities and the percentage of students who achieved the learning activity target of at least 54.5%. Thus, student learning activities using a contextual approach in cycle II are better when compared to the initial conditions and cycle I. The results of learning Indonesian in the initial conditions have an average score of 54 and the percentage of the total number of completed KKM of 22.7% is still far from the set KKM of 70. In the first cycle of improvement, student learning outcomes increased with an average score of 56.9 and the percentage of the total number of completed KKM of 27.3% still did not reach the specified KKM. Cycle II results are better than cycle I, namely an average value of 70 and a percentage of the total number of completed KKM 72.7% the results reach KKM. This proves that a contextual approach can be used to improve the activities and learning outcomes of grade III students of SDN Parakanmuncang I for the 2021/2022 academic year.
