Abstract

Researchers chose Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis model because by using this theory, researchers can interpret and unearth hidden meanings.   Through the script kawih siraman, researchers analyze the meaning of denotation, connotation, and find myths that will become identities and lifestyles in society. Through the flush property, researchers can explore meaning using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic studies to obtain signs , objects (something referenced) and interpretants (the results of the relationship between signs and objects).

Semiotic studies can be applied in literary works in the form of flush scripts, properties, and procedures for their implementation because the language and literature system is a symbol or sign. The language presented in literary works is not ordinary language but a language loaded with markers and signifiers. Through the application of this semiotic analysis model, researchers make thorough observations of the manuscript by paying attention to the coherence of meaning between parts in the manuscript to explore information or reality through symbols and signs.  Finding the meaning of the properties used in the flush procession, so that the problem of ignorance (layman) in interpreting the intent and message contained in the flush procession is solved.
