The development of technology and digitalization that is happening in society makes regional literary works increasingly marginalized. The lack of students' interest in studying literary works, especially native folklore from their own area which is now increasingly neglected and almost extinct. There is very little interest for students to explore or even do not know about folklore that comes from their own region. The abundance of diverse folklore can be an alternative teaching material in schools, especially literary learning. Seeing this, it is necessary to conduct a study of literary works. This is done so that the literary work can be used as a selection of interesting learning materials. The story of Sasakala Darmaraja is a literary work that developed in Sumedang Regency. in this folklore found some values ​​that can be implemented in the process of teaching and learning activities for students at school. The type of study conducted is descriptive-qualitative. The researcher examines by describing the parts contained in the story so that five values ​​are obtained, these values ​​are religious values, moral values, social values, cultural values, and heroic values. With the development of the era of learning activities for folklore literary works, it must be prioritized in addition to keeping the folklore alive, the cultivation of values ​​in students needs to be instilled in order to form a glorious generation.
