ANALISIS KESALAHAN MORFOLOGIS PADA KARANGAN ARUMENTASI SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 GANTAR KABUPATEN INDRAMAYU TAHUN PELAJARAN 2021/2022

Writing an argumentative essay is making an essay and its development pattern based on the arguments or reasons presented by the author. So far, the quality of students’ argumentative essay writing skills is low. The low quality can be seen from the content or weakness of students’ arguments, poor sentence structure, writingtechniques that are not in accordance with the rules of writing. Tudents make argumentative essays containing sentences, in sentences containing words until errors are found in word formation called morphology. The problem in this study is the morphological error of words in the argumentation essay of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Gantar. This study aims describe the morphological process of words, to describe the morphological errors of words, to describe the types of morphological errors to words, and to describe the frequency of the morphological errors of students’ argumentative essays. The method used in this research is a descriptive method using a qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used by the researcher is using the steps of data reduction, calculation, and verification. The reult of this study indicate that the morphological errors of the words in students’ argumentative essay are found in the use of the prefix meN- as many as six, the confix me-kan as many as two, me-i as much as one, and peN-an as much as two. The nimber of errors found between prefixes and confixes is 11 words with a total percentage of 5,61%.
