Abstract

This study discusses the skills of writing fiction texts in grade IV students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the RADEC learning model on the skills of writing fiction texts. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. Data was collected through a test of writing fictional story texts for fourth grade students at SD Smart Mulia Ekselensia. The subjects in this study were class IV-c as the control class and class IV_D as the experimental class. This study shows that there is an influence of the RADEC learning model on the writing skills of fiction story texts for fourth grade students of SD Smart Mulia Ekselensia. The RADEC learning model (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain,, Creat) is a learning model introduced by Sopandi (2017) that has been adapted to Indonesian society. The model name is adapted to the learning syntax so that it is easy to remember the implementation sequence.
