PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN READ, ANSWER, DISCUSS, EXPLAIN, AND CREATE (RADEC) BERBANTUAN VIDEO ANIMASI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPAS

This research was motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students at SDN Karangnangka I, which was influenced by less than optimal learning models and learning media. The aim of the research is to determine the differences in students' critical thinking skills in science learning before and after implementing the RADEC model assisted by animated videos in class V of SDN Karangnangka I. The method used was pre-experiment with a quantitative approach and a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample was all class V students, totaling 16 people, taken using total sampling technique. Data collection is carried out through observation and tests. The instruments used were observation sheets on the implementation of the learning model and critical thinking skills test questions. Data were analyzed using validity, reliability, question difficulty level, data normality and t tests, with the help of Microsoft Excel 2016. The results of processing the observation sheet show 96% implementation in the very practical category, creating optimal learning conditions. The t test shows a value of 7.68 > 1.75, so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating that there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills before and after implementing the RADEC model. The average posttest score was 81.25, higher than the pretest score of 54.38. In conclusion, the RADEC model has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills in learning IPAS on the human digestive system in class V at SDN Karangnangka I, Situraja District, Sumedang Regency.
