PENGGUNAAN MEDIA POP-UP DALAM UPAYA MENINGKATKAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MATERI KERAGAMAN SUKU BANGSA DAN BUDAYA INDONESIA

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning. One effort that can be done to overcome this is to use creative and innovative learning media, namely pop-up learning media. The formulation of the problem from this study is whether the application of pop-up media can increase the activities and learning outcomes of social studies on the diversity of ethnic groups and culture of Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to increase the activity and student learning outcomes in social studies learning in class V SDN Karangmulya. This study uses a class action research method. The design of this study was to use the Kemmis & Mc Tanggart model which was carried out in two cycles where each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. This research was conducted on fifth grade students at SDN Karangmulya, totaling 29 students. However, due to social restrictions, the number of students who were included in the research process was 20 students. The results obtained after taking action using pop-up learning media show an increase. This is evident from the research data which shows the initial data is 10%, the first cycle is 70%, the second cycle is 85%. Thus, the use of pop-up learning media can increase students' understanding of the material on the diversity of Indonesian ethnicities and culture.
