Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of IPAS among fifth grade students of SDN Sukanagara because the selection of learning models that integrate natural and social content has not been optimal. To improve IPAS learning outcomes, an interesting and enjoyable learning model is needed, one of which is the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest format. The subjects of this study were 22 fifth grade students consisting of 10 male and 12 female students. Data collection techniques included observation and testing using instruments in the form of 10 multiple-choice pretest and posttest questions and a learning implementation observation sheet. The observation results of implementation learning between teachers and students resulted in an average score of 3.5, which indicates that the learning was successful "implemented". Data analysis was performed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and paired samples t-test with SPSS version 23 program. The results of analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means that the TGT model significantly improved the learning outcome of students in 2023/2024 school year.
