Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the PjBL model to social studies learning economic activity material for fourth grade elementary school students. The focus of this research is: (1) Learning Implementation Plan (2) Steps of the PjBL learning model (3) description of learning understanding. The approach in this research is qualitative research, while the object of research is SDN Batujajar 2. The subjects of this study are: (1) learning activities using the PjBL model. (2) grade IV students. (3) Class IV teacher. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data collection techniques are observation techniques, interviews, student worksheets and questionnaires. Data processing was carried out using a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that students' understanding of learning increases and is complete both individually and classically. Based on these results the use of the PjBL learning model influences the understanding of the concepts of fourth grade elementary school students. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle follows the research stages, cycle 1 is carried out without using a learning model while cycle 2 is carried out using a learning model.
